The Raedel Report

A Word from Adrian…..
The activities in Division 12 for the last few months have had an excellent turn out thanks to the good weather and great community support. Splendour in the Grass proved to be another successful year with almost $20 million injected into local businesses. The Upper Caboolture Farmers Hall Annual Markets and the Wamuran Kids Carnival demonstrated how you can have a safe, fun, family outing on a low budget. A big thank you to volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes with their committees to ensure
that community events like these can be enjoyed by all. Volunteering can be fun and a good way to meet people.

I enjoyed spending a Thursday and Friday afternoon in Splendour week cooking sausages outside Woolworths for the Woodford Community Bus Committee. Now would be a good time to contact a club or organisation and get involved with the community. I am happy to help you locate a group close to you.

Illegal Dumping destroying our Community Pride
Illegal dumping is on the increase in a number of areas with some people still showing a complete lack of respect for the place we are proud to live in. The reduction of illegal dumping and catching those responsible is a priority for me. Strategies were formulated from a recent meeting I had with relevant Council officials to target this problem. Watch Out Offenders! Council has a series of movement activated cameras which are placed in trouble spots and has currently caught a number of people doing the wrong thing. Please don’t illegally dump, I really don’t want to see any more Division 12 residents being fined and we want to keep our area clean and enjoyable for all.

The New Flood Warning Station has been installed on Burpengary Creek at Oakey Flat Road, Narangba. The new Oakey Flat gauge will provide additional warning timefor Dale Street residents and alert residents for Mathew Cres, Hideaway Close, Burpengary and Lookout Place, Narangba. This real-time monitoring of actual levels at Oakey Flat Rd will assist emergency crew deployment decisionmaking. The gauge is operational on the BOM websitehttp://www.bom.gov.au/ in which you can monitor creek levels.  Council will update residents in the future on how to interpret this information so it can be used for flood safety.
