With so many of our roads having been damaged in the floods, the focus of this years budget has again been roads.
With a mixture of State and Federal disaster funding along with Council funding we will get through the amount of roads that have been serverely damaged.
But, let's be totally honest this huge amount of funding does come at a price and unfortunately two projects have had to be held over for 12 months - Neurum Road and Newlands Road widening.
Many of you who took the opportunity to fill in the dob-in-a-pothole brochure will be happy to see that not only have those potholes been filled but many of you that nominated roads like Robbs Road, Ironbark Drive or Bigmor Drive will have their roads fixed permanently.
This has been a great result and really shows how by working together not only can we solve many of the issues but also identify the roads that most need a permanent solution. Again, thank you to everyone who took the time to fill in the form.
